Es prohibido demorar, sin orden superior, el recibo o despacho de los correos de encomiendas y no es impedimento para hacerlo, que sea de noche o día feriado. Cuando un correo llegue retardado, debe despacharse inmediatamente después de recibirlo, si fuere de tránsito y la hora de despacho ya hubiere pasado.
