Otorgamiento. La condecoración puede otorgarse, en cada categoría a las personas que reúnan las calidades establecidas en el artículo 2.3.1.3.5.4., del presente Capítulo. La condecoración se confiere preferencialmente al personal de Sanidad Militar; sin embargo, se puede otorgar a miembros de las Fuerzas Militares con otra especialidad o actividad, cuando han prestado a la Sanidad Militar servicios meritorios que los hacen acreedores a este honor.
