Los Vigilantes o Guardianes son responsables de los daños y perjuicios de cualquier naturaleza causados por los detenidos o condenados, cuando no den cuenta de ello inmediatamente al Director o al Jefe de la Guardia. En igual responsabilidad incurre este último si voluntariamente o por negligencia o descuido no ha dado cuenta al Director de los hechos que se le hayan denunciado.
