Son inembargables las prestaciones sociales, cualquiera que sea su cuantía. Exceptuase de lo dispuesto en el inciso anterior, los créditos a favor de las Cooperativas y entidades crediticias legalmente autorizadas y los provenientes de las pensiones alimenticias a que se refieren los artículos 411 y concordantes del Código Civil; pero el monto del embargo o retención no puede exceder del cincuenta por ciento(50%) del valor de la prestación respectiva.
