Art. 1.° Son de forzosa aceptacion, tanto en las oficinas públicas como en las transacciones particulares, por su valor nominal, las monedas emitidas por los Gobiernos de la antigua República de Colombia i de la Nueva Granada, i de los Estados Unidos de Colombia, con las leyes de 0,900 de 0,666 i de 0,835, aunque por el uso hayan perdido de su peso o se hayan borrado sus marcas.
