Los ascensos de Suboficiales se conferirán siempre dentro del Cuerpo de tropas cuando haya vacantes, por el respectivo Comandante y a propuesta de los Comando de Unidad Fundamental, y requerirán la aprobación del respectivo Comando de Brigadas.

Parágrafo

Los directores de las Escuelas de Preparación de Suboficiales no podrán conferir ascensos a los alumnos que terminen anualmente su curso; únicamente les expedirán un certificado de aptitud para el correspondiente ascenso en el Cuerpo de tropas.
