El Seguro Agropecuario ampara los perjuicios causados por riesgos naturales meteorológicos, geológicos, biológicos, antrópicos, de mercado y comercialización, transporte, entre otros, resultantes de factores extraordinarios e incontrolables al productor, ajenos al control del tomador, asegurado y beneficiario de fuerza mayor o caso fortuito y que afecten la producción agropecuaria y la estabilidad de los ingresos de los productores. El Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural reglamentará la aplicación de esta norma.
