Las cargas reservadas se podrán incluir en los acuerdos de transporte que celebren armadores colombianos con empresas marítimas extranjera con el fin de ampliar, integrar o racionalizar los servicios y reducir sus costos. Los armadores Latinoamericanos inscritos en la Asociación Latinoamericana de Armadores (CALAMAR), podrán participar en el transporte de la carga reservada en igualdad de condiciones con la bandera nacional, siempre que en el país respectivo se otorgue igual o equivalente trato a los buques colombianos.
