Autorízase igualmente al Gobierno para que, de acuerdo con la Junta Directiva del Banco de la República, emita hasta un millón de pesos ($ 1.000.000) en monedas de níquel de valor de ocho centavos ($ 0-08) a medio centavo. Las monedas de medio centavo estarán precisamente perforadas en la parte central y llevarán las inscripciones que determine el Gobierno.

La utilidad que deje está operación a la Nación se destinará a adquirir acciones de la Caja de Crédito Agrario e Industrial.
