El ex empleado deberá manifestar su decisión de aceptar la indemnización u optar por la revinculación, mediante escrito dirigido al jefe de la entidad u organismo dentro de los cinco (5) días siguientes a la fecha de recibo de la comunicación de que trata el artículo anterior. Si no manifestare su decisión dentro de este término se entenderá que opta por la indemnización.
