De conformidad con el artículo 493 de la Ley 09 de 1979, en cada Departamento, Intendencia, Comisaría y Municipio, así como en el Distrito Especial de Bogotá, se constituirá un Comité de Emergencias cuya integración, competencia, jurisdicción y relaciones serán determinadas por el Comité Nacional de Emergencias. Parág rafo. Los Comités de Emergencias a que se refiere el presente artículo tendrán un representante del Ministerio de Salud o de una de sus entidades delegadas y actuará como coordinador de los mismos el respectivo funcionario de la Defensa Civil en la jurisdicción correspondiente.
