Artículo sexto. A partir de la vigencia de la presente Ley el Instituto de Fomento Industrial, IFI, queda facultado para invertir sus excesos de liquidez en operaciones de negociación de cartera, en sus diferentes modalidades, en corporaciones financieras sometidas a la vigilancia de la Superintendencia Bancaria.
