En conformidad con lo dispuesto en el Artículo 18 del Decreto - Ley 2811 de 1974, el aprovechamiento de la fauna silvestre está sujeto al pago de tasas o a la reposición de los individuos o especímenes obtenidos del recurso. El valor de las tasas será aplicado para el mantenimiento de la renovabilidad del recurso. Se exceptúa de esta obligación la caza de subsistencia.
