Hay alumnos cursantes y asistentes. Los primeros son los matriculados en cierto número de clases, conforme al plan de estudios y que trabajan en el salón bajo vigilancia durante el tiempo intermedio entre las horas de clase; que están, por tanto, en la Escuela de 7 a 11 de la mañana y de 1 a 4 de la tarde, y ganados todos los cursos del pensum, adquieren derecho a diploma de idoneidad. Son asistentes los que, con permiso del Rector, sólo concurren al establecimiento a ciertas clases, sin sujeción rigurosa al plan de estudios, y no adquieren derecho a diploma.
