El Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural, conjuntamente con las Instituciones de Educación Superior y con las Asociaciones del subsector equino y bovino, diseñarán y pondrán en marcha planes y programas de investigación que tengan por objeto la propagación y el mejoramiento de éstas razas puras, de su producción, comercialización y promoción del consumo de sus productos de los subsectores equino y bovino, prestando atención especial a las razas criollas colombianas.
