El Instituto de Enfermedades Tropicales actuará como asesor técnico del Ministerio de Higiene en las campañas sanitarias sobre enfermedades tropicales que se admiten en la zona de los Llanos o en zonas de igual patología en el país, y cooperará en las luchas contra fiebre amarilla y malaria en aquella región.
