°. El optómetra que ejerza la profesión requerirá de su tarjeta profesional. Los profesionales que a la fecha de la promulgación de la ley de optometría ostentaren solamente el registro profesional vigente, para optar por la tarjeta profesional, deberán actualizar y acreditar la nivelación correspondiente y así poder prestar los servicios en la misma forma y con el mismo alcance en que lo hacen los nuevos profesionales.
