º . Mecanismo de control. De conformidad con lo señalado en el

Parágrafo 2

del artículo 879 del Estatuto Tributario, previamente a la apertura de la cuenta de ahorros, los establecimientos de crédito y las entidades vigiladas por la Superintendencia de la Economía Solidaria deberán implantar un mecanismo de verificación y control. En el evento en que el establecimiento de crédito o las entidades vigiladas por la Superintendencia de la Economía Solidaria autoricen la apertura de una segunda cuenta amparada con el beneficio de la exención, deberán responder por los impuestos y sanciones a que haya lugar.
