La Prefectura de Control de Cambios podrá inspeccionar las explotaciones mineras, las casas de fundición y ensayes y los demás establecimientos que procesen oro para fines diversos, así como examinar sus libros de contabilidad y demás comprobantes, con el objeto de establecer si su manejo y funcionamiento se ajustan a las disposiciones sobre control de cambios.
