Una estatua de este meritísimo servidor de la República será erigida en su ciudad natal, Popayán, en el sitio que indique el Concejo de este Distrito, y en el cementerio de Campoalegre, en el Departamento del Huila, en donde está enterrado, se levantará un mausoleo adornado con bustos de bronce.
