A partir del 1º. de enero de 1994, en caso de mora en el pago de las mesadas pensionales de que trata esta Ley, la entidad correspondiente reconocerá y pagará al pensionado, además de la obligación a su cargo y sobre el importe de ella, la tasa máxima de interés moratorio vigente en el momento en que se efectúe el pago.
