Art. 12º Los reos atacados de elefancia sufrirán tanto la detención provisional como la pena definitiva á que fueren condenados, en la Cárcel del Lazareto más inmediato al lugar donde esté radicado el proceso. Todas las notificaciones que fueren necesarias se les harán por medio de autoridad comisionada, cuando deban ser personales; las demás notificaciones se entenderán con los defensores.
