La vigencia de las inscripciones sobre el registro civil de nacimiento y sobre los funcionarios encargados de llevarlo, se seguirá ejerciendo por la Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro de acuerdo con los ordenamientos de los Decretos - Ley 1260 y 2158 de 1970, y de conformidad con las instrucciones que prescriban el Superintendente en uso de sus atribuciones.
