Para los efectos del artículo 29, Ley 40 de 1932, los Gobernadores averiguarán en que Notarias de su Departamento existen archivos anteriores a 1801, e informarán al Ministerio de Gobierno sobre el particular, expresando cuáles están a su juicio debidamente custodiado y cuidados, y cuáles deben ser trasladados al archivo nacional.
