º OBJETIVOS Y GENERALIDADES. El Estatuto del Transporte Público Automotor de Carga tiene los siguientes objetivos generales

a)

Regular la industria del transporte terrestre público automotor de carga para su mejor desarrollo y eficiencia en la prestación de sus servicios y para estimular su fomento y desarrollo;

b)

Organizar y vigilar la prestación del servicio de transporte terrestre automotor de carga.

c)

Determinar las condiciones y requisitos que deben reunir las personas jurídicas dedicadas al transporte terrestre automotor de carga y definir su esquema mínimo de organización y funcionamiento;

d)

Establecer las condiciones y características de los vehículos dedicados a la actividad transportadora de carga;

e)

Señalar los documentos que deberán expedirse para amparar la operación del transporte terrestre automotor de carga;

f)

Fijar normas en relación con actividades afines al transporte terrestre automotor de carga;
