La presente ley tiene por objeto exaltar o la figura campesina, por su valiosa contribución a la soberanía alimentaria y a la sociedad en general, fomentando la preservación y difusión de las artes, la diversidad cultural, la música y las tradiciones campesinas; fortaleciendo lazos de unión y cooperación entre las comunidades campesinas locales y del mundo.
