Art. 147. No pueden ser elegidos Senadores, Representantes, Diputados a las Asambleas departamentales ni Electores en ninguno de los Departamentos de la República los individuos que el día de las votaciones desempeñen ó hubieren desempeñado en los seis meses anteriores a éstas, los empleos de Presidente y Vicepresidente de la República, Ministro del Despacho, Magistrado de la Corte Suprema, Consejero de Estado, Gobernador de Departamento, Procurador general ó Jefe del Ejército con mando y jurisdicción militar en toda la República.
