Art. 172. En cada Distrito Judicial habrá un Fiscal del Tribunal y un Fiscal de Juzgado ó Juzgados Superiores. Uno y otro residirán en la cabecera del respectivo Distrito Judicial.

En los Circuitos Judiciales habrá un Fiscal del Circuito, que residirá en la cabecera del mismo.

En cada uno de los Circuitos Judiciales de Bogotá y Medellín habrá dos Fiscales de Circuito.

Los funcionarios expresados en este artículo serán nombrados por el Presidente de la República para periodos de tres años, que comenzarán el 1º de Enero de 1890.
