Las empresas de transporte fluvial están obligadas a tomar las siguientes coberturas de seguros

Cobertura de responsabilidad civil contractual por daños a los pasajeros o a la carga.

Cobertura de responsabilidad civil extracontractual por daños derivados de la actividad de transporte fluvial.

Cobertura de responsabilidad civil por contaminación a las vías fluviales. El Ministerio de Transporte establecerá mediante resolución las cuantías mínimas que deberán cubrir las pólizas de seguros a que se refiere el presente artículo.
