Artículo único. Autorízase a la Asamblea del Departamento de Santander para erigir en Municipio el Corregimiento de Barrancabermeja, perteneciente en la actualidad al Municipio de San Vicente de dicho Departamento, aunque tal Corregimiento no reúne todos los requisitos que previene la ley, en razón de la excepcional importancia que hoy tiene la expresada localidad.
