La rebaja concedida se otorgará sin perjuicio de los beneficios de libertad condicional prevista en el artículo 72 del Código Penal, de la libertad preparatoria de que tratan los artículos 330 y 331 del Decreto 1817 de 1964, la Ley 32 de 1971 sobre redención de pena por trabajo y estudio y el Decreto reglamentario número 2119 de 1977.
