Los Jefes Oficiales que obtengan licencia temporal por causa de enfermedad, gozarán de la mitad de su sueldo. Para adquirir esta licencia no será suficiente comprobante el certificado del médico de la guarnición respectiva, sino que deberá exhibirse la declaración jurada de aquel facultativo ó de otro cualquiera, y la de un testigo idóneo, rendidas ante alguna autoridad judicial ó política. A falta de facultativo, su testimonio puede ser suplido por el de otro testigo. Los declarantes expondrán cuál es la enfermedad ó lesión, y si en realidad ella produce al paciente incapacidad para el servicio.
