ARTICULO 48

La acción requerida para llevar a cabo las decisiones del Consejo de Seguridad para el mantenimiento de la paz y la seguridad internacionales será ejercida por todos los Miembros de las Naciones Unidas, o por algunos de ellos, según lo determine el Consejo de Seguridad.

Dichas decisiones serán llevadas a cabo por los Miembros de las Naciones Unidas directamente y mediante su acción en los organismos internacionales apropiados de que formen parte.
