Art. 15. El Secretario de la Academia, ademas de desempeñar las funciones que como a tal le corresponden segun el reglamento económico del Instituto, será profesor i tendrá su cargo la clase de física; llevará los libros de la contabilidad del establecimiento por el sistema de partida doble; guardará los fondos especiales del Instituto, si los hubiere; recaudará las cantidades jiradas contra la Tesorería jenereal, i hará los pagos que ordenare el Director, sin cuya órden escrita no será permitido satisfacer ningun gasto.
