Autorización del ICA . Es condición indispensable, para todo el que desee importar animales o sus productos al territorio nacional, cualquiera que sea la especie, origen o procedencia, estar previamente autorizado por el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario.

Parágrafo

La importación de productos de origen animal podrá efectuarse por cualquiera de los puertos, aeropuertos y pasos fronterizos autorizados por el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario (ICA). (Decreto número 1254 de 1949, artículos 15 y 17)
