Cuando el testigo de lengua extranjera no comprendiere el idioma castellano, el juez nombrará traductor oficial. Si no lo hubiere, el nombramiento recaerá en persona reputada como idónea para hacer la traducción. Lo anterior no obsta para que pueda estar acompañado por uno designado por él.
El testigo y el traductor prestarán juramento.
