Designación. La Caja tendrá un Auditor de libre nombramiento y remoción de la Junta Directiva del Banco de la República. El Auditor General deberá ser Contador Publico y no podrá tener parentesco con el Gerente General de la Caja dentro del cuarto grado civil de consanguinidad, segundo de afinidad o primero civil; igualmente estará sujeto a las demás incompatibilidades y prohibiciones establecidas o que se establezcan en la ley.

Parágrafo

Para suplir el Auditor General en sus faltas temporales o en las absolutas mientras es designado el titular, la Junta Directiva del Banco de la República nombrará un suplente, quien deberá llenar las mismas calidades y tendrá Ias mismas incompatibilidades y prohibiciones del Auditor General.
