En las licencias o permisos que autoricen el funcionamiento de salas de exhibición cinematográfica se hará constar la obligación de presentar producciones cinematográficas colombianas de largo metraje durante los lapsos establecidos para cada año, lo mismo que la sanción por el incumplimiento de esta obligación. De acuerdo con el artículo 214 del Código Nacional de Policía y con el Decreto 2055 de 1970, la sanción a que se refiere este artículo será impuesta por el alcalde del lugar donde funcione la sala, previo concepto favorable del Ministerio de Comunicaciones.
