Interdicción . Cuando se decrete la nulidad de la elección porque los candidatos no reunían los requisitos y calidades exigidas por la Constitución Política y la ley o porque violaron prohibiciones contenidas en las mismas normas, en la sentencia se impondrá a los afectados la pena de interdicción para el ejercicio de cualquier cargo público por un término igual al del período de la corporación para la cual habían sido elegidos, contado a partir de la fecha de ejecutoria de la respectiva providencia.
