Decreto 2458 de 1997 · por el cual se reglamentan las actividades y servicios de telecomunicaciones que utilicen sistemas de radiomensajes, se atribuyen las bandas de frecuencia de operación y se dictan otras disposiciones.

Clasificación de los sistemas de radiomensajes. Para efectos de este decreto los sistemas de radiomensajes se clasifican para su operación de la siguiente forma

Número de vías: Sistemas de radiomensajes unidireccionales y sistemas de radiomensajes bidireccionales.

Tipo de mensaje: Sistemas de radiomensajes de voz o datos.

Area de servicio: Sistema de radiomensajes para área de servicio nacional, departamental o municipal.

Banda de frecuencia: Sistemas de radiomensajes en la banda media de VHF (138 a 174 MHz). Sistemas de radiomensajes en la banda baja de UHF (406 a 512 MHz). y Sistemas de radiomensajes en la banda alta de UHF (900 MHz).
