A partir de la vigencia de la presente Ley, no podrá extenderse el perímetro urbano de manera tal que incorpore dentro del área por él determinada, suelos que según la clasificación del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi pertenezcan a las clases I, II o III, ni a aquellos correspondientes a otras clases agrológicas, que sean necesarias para la conservación de los recursos de aguas, control de procesos erosivos y zonas de protección forestal.
