Previos los estudios del caso y si éstos dieren resultados favorables, el Gobierno elaborará o contratará la elaboración de un plan para cambiar gradualmente, en las áreas que se consideran más aptas para el banano, los actuales cultivos por otras variedades más productivas. Este plan determinará, asimismo, los tipos de explotación agropecuaria más indicados para aquellas zonas tradicionalmente bananeras que se juzgue inadecuado o inconveniente seguir cultivando con banano.
