Las asociaciones de Municipios pueden limitar su objeto a un determinado servicio u obra de interés común, o extenderlo a varios servicios municipales. También puede pactarse para planear, financiar y ejecutar las obras para la prestación de tales servicios; para prestar o administrar los servicios mismos o comprender solamente cualquiera de tales actividades.
