A partir del primero de enero del año de mil novecientos sesenta, se nacionaliza el colegio de bachillerato que funciona en el municipio de baranoa, departamento del atlántico, el cual ha venido siendo sostenido con fondos de este departamento, siendo de cargo de la nación, a partir de la fecha mencionada, su orientación pedagógica, dotación y sostenimiento.
