Art. 3.º En la sala de la Biblioteca nacional en donde se conserva la obra original del eminente géografo, se colocará un busto de él, con la siguiente inscripción: "Colombia al Jefe de su primera Comisión corográfica-1793-1859."

En el pueblo de Codazzi, en el frontis de la Casa Municipal, se pondrá una lápida como recuerdo del duelo de la República por el acontecimiento allí cumplido.
