El Instituto podrá, con autorización de la Junta Directiva, adquirir fincas incultas o insuficientemente explotadas, para venderlas o parcelarlas. Los compradores o parcelarios deberán explotarlas conforme a la condiciones estipuladas por el Instituto. La adquisición de estas fincas se hará según lo dispuesto en la Ley 100 de 1944.
