El retiro por invalidez absoluta se concede a los Marinos, cualesquiera que sean su edad y años de servicio, que padezcan invalidez absoluta y permanente para toda clase de actividades, tanto navales como civiles. Los retirados por esta causa quedaran fuera de todo registro y libres de todo servicio en paz de y en guerra.
