Decreto 718 de 1966 · por el cual se reorganizara la educación industrial de nivel medio y se crean las carreras técnicas intermedias.

Artículo séptimo. El Ministerio de Educación establecerá en los institutos técnicos industriales y en la Escuela Normal Superior Industrial carreras intermedias, de acuerdo con las necesidades del desarrollo del país. Los planes de estudio, así como los títulos correspondientes a estas carreras serán expedidos y reglamentados por el Ministerio de Educación.

Parágrafo 1

Para ingresar a las carreras técnicas intermedias, el aspirante debe tener el título de bachiller técnico industrial.

Parágrafo 2

A partir de 1967, la Escuela Normal Superior Industrial se transformara paulatinamente en Instituto Técnico Industrial, limitando los cursos de formación docente a las necesidades de la educación industrial.
