Objeto. El objeto del presente Decreto; relativo a la preparación de atletas para la reserva deportiva, es definir los lineamientos generales, que fortalezcan la articulación del Sistema Nacional del Deporte, para el desarrollo del proceso de formación, búsqueda, identificación, selección y entrenamiento de niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes con habilidades, talento y potencial para convertirse en atletas y paratletas de rendimiento o alto rendimiento del país, y conformar la reserva deportiva del mismo, igualmente, establecer condiciones de los programas destinados a beneficiar a los atletas y paratletas de rendimiento y alto rendimiento del país, hasta su retiro de la práctica deportiva.
