Cuando el tenedor de una letra pagadera en lugar distinto del de los negocios de la residencia del girado, no tenga tiempo, con una razonable diligencia, para presentar la letra a la aceptación, antes de presentarla para el pago en el día debido, la demora en presentar la letra a la aceptación antes de presentarla para el pago se excusa y no liberta a los giradores y endosantes.
